A large e-commerce company wanted to design a leadership intervention for its senior leaders with 15–20 years of tenure. Operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, these leaders were constantly under pressure to make critical decisions, manage complex stakeholder relationships, and maintain resilience. The organisation sought to enhance their ability to think critically, lead adaptively, and respond effectively in high-powered leadership forums.
Challenges
Leadership Ladder designed a robust LeadWise program tailored for senior leaders. The program featured:
- Reading the Room – a framework to recognise diverse perspectives in leadership meetings, fostering win–win alignment.
- Managing Self & Managing Others – a three-step resilience model (Breathing–Mindset–Meditation) combined with Emotional Intelligence modules to manage stress, regulate emotions, and build empathetic relationships.
- Adaptive Leadership Styles – practical tools to flex leadership approaches for different team and stakeholder contexts.
The intervention equipped senior leaders with sharper decision-making skills, improved resilience in demanding situations, and a more reflective, empathetic leadership style that strengthened their effectiveness in high-stakes environments.
Solutions Proposed
Leadership Ladder designed a focused 2-day workshop to address these needs. The program introduced adaptive leadership styles to help managers engage teams more effectively, and guided them on translating the company’s vision into practical team priorities. Custom-built modules on executive presence and communication enabled leaders to project confidence and influence key stakeholders. The experiential format equipped managers with practical tools to strengthen relationships, reduce escalations, and drive alignment. The outcome was a stronger leadership bench that could connect strategy with execution and build resilient, motivated teams.
